Royal Bird’s founder Jake Bezzina has been around birds his entire life and their needs have informed a lot of the business’ output. The Utility Pen, suitable for Australian Langshans, was the first product ever sold by Royal Bird. Jake has kept and bred an extensive range of birds including peacocks, pigeons, various finches, quails, parrots, Australian permit birds and chickens. Fowls in both large and bantam are by far Jake’s specialty. Judging and showing interstate has allowed him to establish a diverse network of breeders and keepers of almost every breed of chook… if Jake can’t find it, it must be very hard to find!
His own hardfeather stud includes various breeds such as Old English Games and rare breeds such as Asils and Malays. There is always a unique range for sale or on order.
